Just got back from California. Visiting my son, Evan, who has taken amazing photos, mostly of wildlife. We wanted to create a gallery wall in his dining room. Was such fun as I had a great repertoire to work with. Here we are deciding which pieces to use. After deciding on the size of the area we wanted to fill, I created a template duplicating the size of the space of the wall on which to place my photos in order to create the arrangement. This will allow you to decide how you can design your gallery without putting a bunch of nails in your wall before hand. Below is my arrangement of photos. This part was such fun! Kind of like putting together a puzzle. Don't be afraid to play with size, shape, and balance of your photos. Once I decided where the pictures were going. I put a little "X" on my template. Perfectly centered above each frame. What we did next was put screws in the wall where the "X's" were marked. Then we simply tore away the template leaving the screws in the perfect place in the wall to hang our photos. Voila! The gallery wall is hung, completed, and now to be enjoyed. This is a great way to add character and design to any room. Add photos of family, travels, pets...whatever you would like to bring warmth to your home.
I love it...I hope you love it too!
