Spring has Sprung and it is so Beautiful. From all of the trees budding to the pretty perennials beginning to show their faces. Below I will share with you how to create elegant Spring pots! Always remember to use a great potting soil to ensure your plants have the nutrients they need. I chose to use a Bloomerang Lilac as the centerpiece for this Spring Pot. This is a perennial that will come back year after year. The flowers are a very beautiful purple that always looks great for Spring. It will continue to bloom throughout Spring, and sporadically during the Summer, with a heavy flush again in Fall. Once the flourish of Spring blooms has finished, i like to add my beautiful Bloomerang Lilac to my gardens and switch my pots to summer blooming annuals. Next I used a decorative grass called Acorus Ogon around the lilac. I love the bright green stripes in the grass as they reflect the sunshine so beautifully. This is a perennial as well! Decorative cabbage is not just for Fall! This variety is called 'Osaka Red' Flowering Cabbage. I love how it brings out the purple colors throughout the pot! Next I added the annual Raspberry Stream Alysum. This will continue to grow even during the Summer to fill the pot with amazing color! Lastly comes the trailers! I chose trailing 'White Atlas' Bacopa, as I always like white against a darker colored pot, and Silver Falls which will trail en masse down the pot. If you haven't used Silver Falls, I highly recommend planting in a darker pot. It is iridescent, like a silver opal. One of my favorites! Please note I got excited and added Curly Willow! I love the wispiness that it brings to the pot! I love it ...I hope you love it too! Beautiful Inspirations
