This flower arrangement was taken from one of my perennial pots. You can find them on my website and there are a lot of plants you can use. Perennial pots are one of my favorites because of how they grace my garden, stay full and lush, and provide items for me to use in my home. Guacamole Hosta leaf Ostrich Fern leaf Plum Pudding Cora Bell leaf Sun Patiens Starting with my largest leafs, I put them in the vase in order to create a grid in which to insert my other little lovelies. My fern leaves I inserted into the grid, which has now created a "**frog" to place the next items. My Coral Bells I wanted to insert individually so that they appear to be standing up in the pot. Lastly, my flowers! I love all the contrasting leaves that I picked, and the hot color of the flowers. If I would have used a pale colored flower, it would have given a more romantic feel versus a dramatic look. I wanted something with a punch. Always remember that with a little love and creativity you can grace your home with lovely arrangements to create a feeling of warmth by bringing your garden indoors.
**A frog is an old term describing a device that was used to hold flowers in the bottom of vases so that they would not move around. Now it is used loosely to explain a grid-like arrangement when displaying, or housing your plants in any container. Here is my fun little collection of antique frogs that I have collected over the years!
