Creating a Winter Wonderland Tree For Inside Your Home

As you know I absolutely love coming up with ways to bring the beauty of nature into my home...and Winter time is no exception. Below I will show you how to take a tree that is no longer living, and turn it into an elegant Winter Wonderland Tree for inside your home. All it takes is a plant container, spray paint, and some Winter ornaments. Enjoy!

My neighborhood bank was going to throw these beautiful dead Ficuses away. So of course I brought them home as I knew that I could turn them into something elegant. I love the way the trunks intertwine and the drama they posess.

Simply spray paint the tree a flat white...a light dusting will do. Be sure not to overdo it as you want it to look as natural as possible. One coat should do the trick! I then placed it into a plant container and added moss to the base around the tree.

Add some Winter decor to the branches. I pulled apart a glittery Winter decor pic and added the pieces to the branches.I love to add a touch of wildlife to my pieces. Here I placed a beautiful family of birds that are actually Christmas tree decorations that I clipped to the tree. I also adorned it with a cute little nest. The eggs are actually little ornaments!

I decided to add some back light to the tree to give it more of a pop! This was done by placing a spotlight behind the container. You can find one at any hardware store.

I love the way that it adds a touch of Winter Wonderland elegance to my space. All it took was a tree that I salvaged from a bank, some spray paint, and a few decorations. Remember that creativity and inspirationa can be found anywhere to bring the beauty of the outdoors, into your home.

I love it...I hope you love it too! Happy Holidays!

Omg, I love this! What a wonderful idea, it does add some winter magic in a warm place.
Brilliant. I'm gonna try a small sized tree. :)
