I love bringing the warmth and happiness of nature indoors to my home. I have created this amazing decorative cloche display piece out of beautiful thrift store finds and just a little hot glue. I have had this for years in my home and now I want to share with you how to create it! I found this cute little egg arrangement as a Christmas tree ornament and simply cut off the string so that I could use it in my cloche. I decided to use the African Violet that I left it in its original container. They love high humidity and indirect light. I take the plant out once a week and water it. Something as easy as this is perfect for a cloche display. I chose the super moss as a nice base covering in the cloche so it looks natural. This can be found at many of your local garden centers. I also decided to use this beautiful piece of petrified wood to give it a nice contrast of white against all the color while still looking organic. Here is one of my favorite pieces for the cloche. Its the head of a mushroom that I found at my local garden center that was on a pic to be used in a floral arrangement. It fell off the pic but I saved it for a display like this. I love the deep color that it puts off in the arrangement. This cute little bird is a Christmas tree ornament also that I wanted to place inside the cloche. Here is the only tool that you really need. Just a hot glue gun to piece the elements together. I found this beautiful antique casserole dish for a bargain at my local thrift store and had to have it! Luckily it came with the plate still inside it so it gave me a great area to build my cloche display. I used just a small enough amount of soil to give an organic element to start off with. The super moss product has plenty of organic pieces, like sticks and bark to make it seem like something found in nature. Keep in mind when doing this that you want it to seem like you found all of these in their habitats. First I placed the African Violet in the bowl, then stacked the larger elements to hide the plastic pot that the violet is planted in. Then I placed the bird nest and eggs! Lastly comes the bird! I simply hot glued it to a stick that I found that I liked, and made sure to fit inside the cloche. Be sure not to apply a huge amount as you want it to not be noticeable, and organic as possible. I found the cloche at my local craft store. They are very easy to come by and you can find one to fit any container you wish. Here is the finished product! I love it and it only took some creativity, a glue gun, and thrift store finds!
I love it, and I hope you love it too!
